Unrounded figures are more credible than marketing approximations, and on FictionMania they describe a transgender and transformation fiction archive of genuine scale — one of the oldest continuously running story collections of its kind, predating most of what surrounds it.

The subject focus is what makes it matter. Transgender and transformation fiction has a long history as amateur writing, largely produced by and for people with no other outlet at the time it was written. An archive of that depth is a record of the genre rather than a content library, and a substantial amount of what is in it exists nowhere else.

The illustrated subset is tracked separately, which is a small but useful distinction for a text archive.
