XConfessions produces indie adult short films adapted from real sexual confessions sent in by viewers, with a submission section sitting in the main navigation next to the films. People describe a fantasy or an experience; some of those become funded, cast and directed shorts. It is commissioning turned outward, and it is a genuinely different way of deciding what gets made from either studio formula or performer preference.

What that produces is a catalogue with a much wider range of subject than adult film normally attempts, because the source material is whatever strangers thought was worth writing down rather than what a producer believes will sell.

The films are credited through a collaborators section naming the people who made them, and the operation shares a production platform with the director's umbrella site listed separately in this directory — same crew, different catalogues.

Access is a paid subscription with a free selection available to sample, and a live channel runs alongside.

The short-film format is the other thing to expect. These are ten-to-twenty-minute pieces with structure, not scenes, and they reward being watched as films.
