The tag counts settle what this collection is really about. Cosplay leads with close to eight thousand entries, ahead of Japanese, ahead of Korean, and ahead of the tag for nudity by a factor of two. This is not a nude-photography archive with some costume work in it. It is a costume archive, and the undress is a variable within it.

That matches the material, which comes from the East Asian photobook trade rather than from anything Western. Studios publish numbered volumes on subscription — a set of images built around one model and one concept, released like an issue of a magazine — and this site indexes them by publisher and by volume number, which is exactly how the people who follow it think about it. Several of those publishers are long-established.

Entries are called articles rather than galleries, and the browse axes are publisher, nationality and whether a set is uncensored.

Titles are left in Korean and Chinese where that is how they were issued. It is a specialist index and makes no attempt to be anything else.
