Nudography Review

Four kinds of image with four different origins, filed together by who is in them.

Nudography indexes nude celebrity material drawn from movies, magazines, paparazzi photography and sex tapes, organised by person with a news layer and upcoming-release tracking alongside. The person is the axis; how any given image came to exist is not.

Those origins are not equivalent. A film still is performance in a released production with a contract behind it. A magazine shoot was commissioned and paid. A paparazzi photograph was taken without cooperation but lawfully. A sex tape is private material that reached the public by a route nobody chose. Indexing by subject alone means a visitor scrolling one person's page cannot tell which is which, and the site provides no mechanism that would let them.

The news and upcoming-film tracking are genuinely useful for the film-derived material, and suggest someone actively maintaining it.

The distinction the index refuses to draw is the one that decides whether any given entry is legitimate. Three of the four categories are; the fourth is not, and they are presented identically.
